Join Us fro the North Central WI Senior Summit, Thursday, September 24 | 1-4 PM, at the Lakeview Conference Center in Wausau
Over the past year, seniors across Wisconsin have been gathering to name the issues and opportunities impacting their lives and their communities, from a statewide launch in Stevens Point to a Northwoods Senior Breakfast in Merrill to a South Central Senior Summit in Elkhorn. Now it's Wausau's turn.
The heart of this event will the chance for older adults in North Central Wisconsin to give voice to the issues that impact them directly, the struggles they're facing, and the hopes they have for the region. Recurring themes so far have included housing, healthcare, isolation, and transportation, with healthcare and transportation topping the list. But every community feels these differently. That's why we need to hear from you.
The day will open with presentation from Ben Lee, CEO of United Way of Marathon County. Ben will share with us what they've learned at United Way about the needs and concerns where we live. From there, we'll connection with neighbors, share our own perspectives, and have a chance to shape what comes next for north central Wisconsin.
This event is free and open to the public.
